In our last several studies, we’ve been looking at the sermon Peter
preached at Pentecost after the giving of the Holy Spirit. Tonight
we will focus on the response of those who heard him.
This week we will look at the story of Ananias and Sapphira, two people who
desired glory for themselves instead of the Lord.
In Paul's letter to Philemon we learn about forgiveness, acceptance,
and what it means to be free in Christ and the joys that come with that
freedom.
Tonight, we’ll look into the message Peter preached to the crowds
gathered for Pentecost on the day the Holy Spirit came to the
followers of Jesus.
Last week we saw the Lamb, Jesus, take the sealed scroll from God.
This week we’ll watch as Jesus opens the seals on the scroll.
This week we will see the promise made by Jesus about the giving
of the Holy Spirit come true. We will also see Peter step back
into the story to carry out the calling Jesus gave him to service.
Our sermon series “Focus Forward” takes a turn this week as our
focus movesfrom those who are part of the Rapture to those who
are left behind.

time and time again.
This week we come to the moment when Peter is confronted by
Jesus involving Peter’s denial of Christ.
